Week 12

Assignment: Put the final touches for the comic project

Craft
The only thing i needed to adjust was the title and to make sure some of the scenes weren't blurry for the audience.

Composition
I think my composition for my comic is all on point and don't have to fix anything before i turn in my final project.

Concept
The comic is about two sisters who are in there first year of college and one sister, Em, declares to be an acting major. The only problem is is she is falling her classes due to her lack of emotion. Her sister, Mia, comes up with an idea to give Em some of her emotions by using this magical box she has under her bed. Mia releases her emotions into the box and delievers them to Em. Em opens the box and is overcome with Mia's emotions and starts getting A's is her class. Five years later Em is a successful actress.

  1. Craft- This website is very easy to read through because of the simple background and white text. I like how the the headers are done in red and blue text, which further helps the reader know which section is which. But I definitely appreciate how easy you made it for readers to browse your page with your text and background coloring.

Composition- The big picture link on the right side of the page is very nicely done. It kind of forces readers to scroll down and see what's at the bottom. Many of your blog entries had pictures included with text, which was visually appealing to me. Each blog entry that I glanced at looks well done--it makes it clear that you put effort into every week!

Concept- The NBA gadget tells readers a little about you, which is one of the main purposes of this website. The About Me section (with a picture of you on the left) also allows readers the opportunity to get to know you better. The reason for this website was to showcase artwork, write about it, and continually improve each week over the course of the semester in a creative and original way.

  2. Craft: I know everyone had to use iWeb to create their webpage but you seemed to edit the template in a way that no one else did in the entire class. With all the stars and the black and white, you really differentiated yourself from the typical webpage format.

Composition: The photo that linked me to your actual webpage caught my eye right away for two reasons. First, the size of the picture really helps it stand out against a black background. Second, I have a picture of the beach on my webpage so I wanted to check it out!

Concept: The concept of your webpage was relativley simple. However, the reason I liked it so much was becuase of its simplicity. You took lighter images and posted them up against a dark background, which helps them stand out. Also, the additional of that "star" theme was really something that no one else had done. Good job.

  3. Craft- your website is simple and it pops out. Much like your blog, your website has a consistent theme. The bright text, colorful pictures, and black background work well together.

Composition- The set-up is the best I seen. The star(s) on each page makes everything flow together. The star is simple and doesn't mean much, but it makes your website what I consider the best composition webpage

Concept- Simple and tells a lot about artwork and your progression from being in Art 100. The blog and page really exemplify your unique style. Good work

  4. Craft: I like how it's black and white because that's as simple as simple can get, then the red and blue headings that are added still make it very accessible. It makes me feel like if I gave the blog to a grandma, even she would be able to get around it.

Composition: I would've thought that the website link picture was a vacation advertisement or something because of how beach-y and social it appears. It's labeled as the website but it was still a tad misleading.

Concept: I think the goal was to make it simple, and that was definitely accomplished in a still creative way. Good work.
